Weingarten Realty’s Leasing Team is proud to rollout SHOPCENTRIC as part of our overall focus on shop occupancy and shop retention!
SHOPCENTRIC was initiated to provide full service support to new and existing shop retailers throughout the leasing process from lease signing to opening for business to long term tenancy. There are four working components that comprise the SHOPCENTRIC program: ShopEase, Global Meetings, Partners and Research/Marketing Consulting Services.
We have seen new retailers utilize tools, information and resources through ShopEase to assist in making important decisions in planning their business. Experienced retailers and existing Weingarten Realty tenants can benefit from the Partners, Global Meetings and Research/Marketing Consulting Services programs. These programs simplify lease negotiations, provide consultation on marketing strategies, assist in permitting and allow us to partner with our tenants in order to help them succeed in our shopping centers.
One aspect of SHOPCENTRIC that is most welcome by retail shops is our “easy to use” 8 page lease, designed to sign on the spot or in a few days. About 35% of our transactions are signed using the 8 page short form lease.
Over the past few years, Weingarten Realty has been implementing aspects of the program in order to build relationships. While we pride on ourselves on the relationships we have built, we look forward to engaging with current and potential tenants with the utilization of the SHOPCENTRIC program.
