Weingarten congratulates and welcomes two leasing executives on the move: Zach Blatteis and Andy Armstrong.
Zach Blatteis has been a Leasing Executive with Weingarten since May 2014. Formerly working with our Northern California portfolio from San Francisco, Zach moved to Phoenix last month to work with our Mountain Region portfolio. He now handles twenty-one shopping centers in Arizona and New Mexico.
Prior to joining Weingarten, Zach worked as a broker both in San Francisco, California, and in Southern California, specializing in retail leasing. Zach has a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Sonoma State University, and he is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
About the transfer, Zach says, “Although moving to the desert is quite a change from living in coastal California, I’m familiar and comfortable with the ‘Valley.’ I’m excited to further explore Arizona and make it my new home.”
Andy Armstrong is our newest Leasing Executive in the Western Region, filling the role that Zach Blatteis leaves behind. Andy will work with our Northern California properties, splitting his time between our Sacramento office and the Bay Area, where he is from. Andy’s diverse experience and knowledge of the Bay Area makes him a great addition to our team.
Andy has seven years of experience in retail real estate, and most recently worked as a broker at Newmark Cornish & Carey, in San Jose. Andy is a graduate of Chapman University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business.
Last month, Andy and his wife welcomed their daughter Ava into the world. Andy is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a member of the Rotary Club of San Jose, where he volunteers his time for the Silicon Valley Wheel Chair Project.
